Rainbowsphere started as a small, simple WordPress.com blog in 2007, though there were plans to move the blog to the domain of Animeblogger.net. The flow of application went smoothly until the crash the domain went through on November of the same year. The blog went on limbo, and was eventually brought down in the meantime with hopes of revival once Maestro gets things straight. Unfortunately, he didn’t.

More than five months passed, and the blog was resurrected on the same domain provider it was in on its first few years. The months pass by in tranquility as the site tried its best to move on without trying to depend on something as complicated as a domain service provider… until Onii-chan took the wet kitty from the orange box and took it to its home.

Now, Rainbowsphere is being hosted by dasaku.net, and thanks to Rakkun (a.k.a. “Onii-chan”, who is ecchi, hence “Onii-chan no Ecchi”), the blog is staying in it at full force! The site tackles about Japanese visual culture in general, but will also feature news about games, especially Touhou. But all in all, it’s just one cozy, humble home for the author.

The Author

The author was introduced into the Dasaku roster as the resident Touhoufag, one of the “abundantly rare” species of the blogging world. It then started blogging about news and stuff about Touhou, and solely that. Eventually, having access to a more diversified selection of visual material, it tried its hand on anime, manga, and even on its own set of personal works. Several posts later on would slowly evolve the site, and the author getting different stimuli from various sources is a situation that is being experienced in a good basis. Hopefully, the “Bloggerhood of the Net” would still welcome its new resident even after the site’s eventual first year.

Guest Writing

The author has also done guest writing on a number of blogs:
