Minna’s ep! MYLF alert! MYLF alert!
Yoshika tries to bond with the other military members of the 501st, only to do so in vain. Commander Minna said that everyone was ordered not to have any kind of conversation or physical contact with any Witch, even if the Witch herself was the one who approached. Of course Yoshika was bewildered by the order.
She was then called in by Minna, and was surprised to meet the captain of the recently fixed Akagi. The captain actually wants to express his thanks to Yoshika for a job well done on the Akagi Neuroi attack. She was given a present, which Minna didn’t quite like. Then, he proceeds to talk about the planned strike against the Neuroi territories.
Why, thank you.
And BOOM! Minafuji suddenly gets some kind of admirer from a humble sailor of Akagi’s crew. Boldly presenting a letter, he openly tries to sum up his remaining courage and present his confession of love written in paperba-WAIT! What the fuck? Why am I doing some kind of novel skit on something that’s not even fucking good or funny? Yoshika tries to muster up an answer to the sailor, only to get screwed up by the wind… and by Commander Minna.
OHSHIAT!
Neuroi attack! Now what? It’s like having a stupid 2XXX by 2XXX Rubik’s cube explode into more Rubik’s Cubes. It looks like fragmented bits and bytes inside your stupid little computer that shoot lasers, too. Anything else to note? Miu is covered by Yoshika as the others try to distract, fend them off and buy Miu some time while she tries to find the core on the fragmented cubes. After finding and destroying the core, the enemies shatter. However, there’s something: Miu’s shield broke while guarding against the broken Neuroi fragments, a thing that Minna didn’t fail to notice. Is the Neuroi this strong as to break shields, or is Miu starting to have some problems of her own?
Somebody solve this shit.
This ep somehow shows Minna’s hidden side. A facade that was unseen, because of the usual masquerade that covers it. Nonetheless, it was explained that she was just a simple Witch that wanted to be a simple musician, and that she had a lover who volunteered for war against the Neuroi. Her lover died trying to defend the fort while the civillians escaped, an order that shattered her resolve for love, as well as her overview for the military. That changed when she knew more about her lover’s sacrifice.
And of course, MYLF moe ensues.
But the more important thing that concerned me is Miu. Minna wants to subdue Miu for some reason. It may be either she wants to eliminate her by orders of higher officials, prevent her from fighting due to the condition she found out, or have her exit the stage by staging her death. Either way, it’s intriguing enough. Military matters have always been so uncanny and cunning, so I would really want to see how this works out for the 501st.
Gun-Junkie corner? Oh, no more. Minna uses a single MG42 anyway, and that one’s already been tackled likewise.

What’s a “MYLF”? Is that anything like a “MILF”?
MYLF - Moms You’d Like To Fuck
I don’t fuck moms, so yeah.
Remember that Minna’s only 18 or 19, so she’s kind of young to be an MYLF. Kinda like it seems wrong saying that to Maria from Hayate the Combat Butler, though she does act motherly (or at least common sensically most of the time, and both are voiced by the same seiyuu!) as well.
And it’s Mio. .\/.
Mio? She’s not that well-endowed, really. Just average. Besides, Miu isn’t exactly as “motherly” as you think she is.
And uh… isn’t it kinda too late to note that out? Sorry if my ears don’t work out that well lately.
That was uncalled for, what with all the random guys showing up.
