Macedemi Wasshoi! 1: Somehow, A Girl Came Out…

Random slapstick comedy. It’s not like it’s bad, nor is it good. I mean, yeah, another typical Mahou Shoujo anime littered with too much parodies and references and whatnot. IS YOUR GAR OVER NINE-THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND TO BE ABLE TO WATCH THIS SHOW?! Let me check my Geiger Counter for that. A Cat Is Fine Too, anyone?

Protagonists… or so we think…

So, we follow the story of two members of the Hasegawa family, namely Hasegawa Takuto (Tact is fine too, but no, since it gives me nightmares of GA Tact) and Hasegawa Suzuho. These two live a secret life as magicians in training in the secret world of Magic Academy, a certain school that is ABSOLUTELY off your maps (if you found one, pics or GTFO). After meeting up with his upperclassman Sakuma, Takuto is scheduled for a summoning spell exam today, and it seems that there’s going to be something wrong…

As always, that is…

Enter Tanarot. She’s the recently summoned… catsomething… by Takuto. By the first meeting, it seems that she’s taken a liking to her “creator”. Monopoly turns into naked chaos when she tries to keep Takuto to himself, much to the chagrin of Suzuho, and indirectly, Suzuka.

くらえ!スッパ・トウネッド・サンダア・クラシュウ!!

Suzuka is the blue-haired, unbraided version of Suzuho. She transforms to Suzuka whenever she feels angry and she can’t control herself anymore. She then removes the lace tying her hair, and the hair changes color. As expected, demeanor changes, then HAXXPOWARZ. However, she meets her equal in the form of a face-raping octopuss. And I mean no typo on that extra S.

Time for FACERAEP.

Random fanservice here and there. Of course, Censorship-san’s involvement is a must, considering this anime is raining pantsu and fanservice shots replaced with stupid clay dolls to represent what is going on (though there are some exceptions like this Tanarot butt headgrab, among others). Albeit the main plotline is focusing on the summoning exam going haywire, there were other things they had to put in the already confusing mix, like the random introductions of characters, as well as the random antics of the already introduced ones, mainly by Sakuma. WTFlower and cosplay FTW.

CUETENTITY is CUET.

But hey, the most eye-stealing piece would have to be another information-intellect based being in the form of Trincia, the databank entity keeping track of Takuto’s exams. Resemblance to Tabitha, Nagato Yuki and some others, check. Borderline loli chest, check. Interest, check. Information to destroy you probably, check.

TAIGA MUST WEAR THIS! RAWR!

Parodies litter EVERYWHERE! The power level is OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND on this one, says Sakuma’s Geiger Counter. And what’s with Sagami, the Sunohara lookalike with detachable head and almost indestructible body? SOMEONE EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO MEEEEE!

Your ignorance and retardation is OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND, Shance.

Okay, here’s the deal. Suzuho may not be related to Takuto by blood, since Suzuka is like wtf. EMP, anyone? Their hair color ain’t even the same, so I guess this backs it up? Second, how come both Sakuma and Sagami both know about Tanarot? HOLYFUCKSHECANDESTROYCOUNTRIESGETINTHECARNAO stuff? No wonder you lose an eye due an overloading Geiger Counter, Sakuma.

Great! Another hybrid! You’ll never get enough of the usual new stuff.

Okay, so Tanarot is summoned, Tanarot goes deredere for Takuto, Sakuma dresses up a Tanarot, Suzuho tries to stop rampaging Tanarot, Golems try to RAEP Tanarot but gets the opposite end instead, and then Suzuka comes in armed with Walpurgis, a laserblade the size of an Armored Core’s and then proceeds to slice the hell out of a tower! The mayhem! The chaos! IS THIS EVEN A PROPER WAY FOR A PILOT EPISODE’S ENTRANCE?! Yes, probably.

So to be frank, the show is near enjoyable. Also presuming that the DVD will come in replacing the clay figures with something more… errr… fleshy… Anyways, I’ll keep this up, since I don’t think Kyo no 5-2 is going to amuse me. Consider that one dropped and this one drafted. NEXT!

JUST AS PLANNED.
