Spring Anime: It’s Pick-Your-Poison Time Again…

s2009v2

Yup, it’s that time of the season again…

It’s that time again, when a new batch of animu gets out, and we get to do the “Pick-Your-Poison Game” again. Well, not really. I do have my sights on some of the titles listed, but I don’t expect myself to be impressed after an episode or so.

But screw priorities, being late, and shit. Here’s a list of titles that pique my interest as of the moment:

    • Full Metal Alchemist – Considering that the first one was made of PHAIL, this is one of those “reseasoned” titles recieving new flavor and hopefully, a new face. Look, I’m not into this bigshot alchemy-runs-your-armed-forces thing, but since it’s going to faithfully follow the WIN manga version, I guess I should give it a try.
    • Hayate no Gotoku 2 – Oh yes, OH YES! It’s about time we get another dose of Trap Hayate. For one who follows the manga, this would prove to be RANDOMAGEDDON INCARNATE. Blood, sweat, and tears, poured into an exquisite wine glass, only for your ojou-sama! Go, Hayate-kun!
    • Phantom: Requiem of the Phantom – I’m such a sucker for guns. After following Noir, I was adamant on finding the series’ descendant. Hopefully, this delivers the same schematic as the aforementioned.
    • Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S – To tell the truth, the school year parts of the Polyphonica story spur the beginning of the actual visual novel. Compared to the fast-forwarding of the first season, the second should give ample explanation as to how the cast was formed for the first, as well as more tidbits on the Phoron-Cortie pairing.
    • Lupin vs. Detective Conan – Let’s face it: The World’s Greatest Thief vs. The World’s Greatest (Kid) Detective. Simply DO WANT.
    • Tayutama: Kiss On My Deity – Oh, great. Another eroge-turned-anime title, not to mention it’s going to be another round of KEMONOMIMI OVERLOAD. But since it’s one of Hemisphere’s rock-solid picks, VN-wise, it should turn out juuuuust fine.
    • 07-Ghost – Possible FMA clone, but the concept of the supernatural combining with the psychic should prove to be an interesting mix.
    • Pandora Hearts – Possible Agematts pick. Shotas in your imperial countries. If this escalates to MAJOR WINNAGE, it’s going to be worth it. More like it should be, for the first few episodes.

With Asu no Yoichi spinning out of canon control, and Akikan continuing to be quite the foreplay, this should do.
