Well, not really…

Summer’s been around for a few weeks already. The blistering heat is enough to put anyone to the physical and mental edges. And of course, the most basic excuse is to head somewhere to cool off.

NOT!

I don’t usually go out, and my excuse as a social recluse is enough to keep me pinned down to my little piece of four-cornered estate. Work’s been out of the cycle for more than a month now, and I still have a few more weeks till I get my ass back in the hated cubicle. Okay, okay, you say I’m starting to sound like I’m making excuses again, eh? Fine, I’ll drop the habit. So what’s been up while the days pass by aside from the oh-so-late-but-meaty animu reviews of the season? Oh, what a good question you’ve asked, Watson!

• The Art Request corner’s been down for the count recently. I’ve been having problems with my art style, and I’m currently trying to figure out which of them will I use, or if I’ll just try to come up with something that is originally mine, based on different references, or preferences. I’ll just give a holler on the page once I get myself back together.
• I hate to admit, but I’m back in the MMO game… AGAIN. Not that I can help it. It’s just that there’s hardly any game that garners me any interest anymore (save UFO, which I’ll definitely get when Comiket kicks in), so I’m going back to the games that I used to play, and hopefully try to spark some kind of renewed interest via experimentation (COUGHCOKEHEMITALKINGRAGNAROKONLINETALKCOUGH). Another reason to stall me from posting, or another reason for me to post MMOG posts again. Probably also one of the reasons why the Art Request section and the animu reviews are stalled. OH JOY, OH JOY.
• A lot of people are saying that even though the resolution of the site is better, it’s image-heavy. Probably because of the slide pictures loading, or me using the actual size of the screenshots from episodes or the header being a bit too big or something. I’m going to try to remedy that, trial and error.
• The site’s first blogniversary is closing in in a few more weeks. I’ll have to prepare something for that.
• The plan to revive the idea of creating Touhou-related paperback content is lingering. But even though the ideas spur the moment, the art style problem is there to ruin the good mood. Just do note that I’m not part of Another Dream anymore.

So there you go. Wait, what? You think these are lame things to do on summer and I should go out and enjoy the sun and the beach or pools or something? Right. The sun’s turning my room into some kind of sauna and I’m enjoying in my pool of sweat, so no thanks.
