Bloghopping – It’s a Minefield Out There

ZA WARUDO is upon us!

True enough, if you want to find good content aside from the well-known sites that provide mainstay shit, which at most times do better than expected, you have to handpick most of them yourself. That being said, I think it’s time for me to join the fray on the sites-that-interest-the-hell-out-of-me-but-I-didn’t-plan-to-add-to-the-linkroll-yet craze! Screw swine flu. Eating pigs isn’t really a good thing to do from the start, anyway.

Behind the cutesy avatar lies a monstrosity with a penchant for apples.

Minimum Tempo

IcyStorm never really got any of my attention, which is probably the reason why you don’t see him on my linkroll. But thanks to the efforts/dissing/trolling of ghostlightning, TheBigN, Zeroblade, and the others, the “infamous and perverted lucha libre wrestler who’s sexually infatuated with apples” gets enough attention. You may see him as one of my personal playthings, being dissable to the point of being numb from it (and people say he’s cute doing fits of tsuntsun… by the gods…). But hey, he’s a good guy, not that I liked the fact because he’s good to the point that it would’ve been better to ignore him altogether than to have bothered breaking his “ice”. Nevertheless, his site’s not that high and mighty, but he’s maintaining it good and nice all throughout. He helped me a bit with site issues, too. However, now that he’s given up on apples, whatever comes along the troupe regarding him would have to be another source of joke material, or they may have to milk the apples till they crush the poor fruit altogether. And that’s not going to start from me~!

One happy devil made of cute… and Poring…

Daijobu

The first of the two guys from Twitter that got my attention, DS is one chap that garners too much spotlight. No, I’m not envious of it. It’s just that he knows his stuff, the stuff he wants to talk about it pretty much one that is well recieved by the mind of the general blog reader, he pumps content on a regular basis, and his doodles are something that would make xkcd proud. Nevertheless, he’s got a good going on him which makes me come back now and then to check for something interesting, which, of course, never fails to fulfill. If only he could draw better, then that knack for humor and wacky ideas would garner an extra power-up for that extra power-punch.

MANCANNON, wherever you are, I’m watching you.

Memories of Eternity

The latter of the two guys that I found on Twitter, I can say that Eternal is one that I can find myself parallel, aside from the fact that his style of writing is nearly similar to mine in my opinion. He writes what comes on his mind, and says nothing more. Logic, satirical approach, and a tinge of wit are blended nicely on a post. And he wanders the woods alone. If only he was also able to do art and other creative or multimedia stuff, we’d be more similar than I think. I’m always ready to be taken by surprise if he does, anyway. But hey, I don’t recommend it. I’ve been doing the multitasking since I got most of my stuff up, and I’m too stuffed with things to do with so little time. I guess the place is good as is.

There you have it. It’s only just three at the moment, since bloghopping’s kinda hard to do, or I’m just plain lazy. You can also toss in the fact that you can’t always judge them according to what you observe. As for me, what piques the curiosity is something that would touch the mind and soul. If by chance, I found your blogs, and that little touch comes by the first glance, I’ll most likely be watching over you.

And it’s not watching in a troll’s sense, so don’t be scared…

  • Did I hear someone say ‘Za Warudo’?

  • Thanks for the mention! It’s always nice to hear that someone else appreciates what I do, and I’m glad you liked what you read. As for multimedia, unfortunately I can’t draw to save my life, but I’m learning a bit of music and I might try a few posts along the lines of what lelangir and zzeroparticle do. I also wouldn’t mind getting into podcasting but I’ll probably wait a little while for that one (plus, I’ll need a preexisting podcast to leach on to).

  • Podcasting? Well… I don’t think I do that. More like I’m too scared of my own voice to be heard by other people since I’m too much an introvert. But hey, that’s a good option.

Music? Of what kind? Remixing? Originals? Arranges? And from what genre? Games? Animu? You could take these into consideration. And yeah! give me some samples too!

Lastly, well, if you want to try to write on lela’s caliber, you need to have a good sense of reasoning along with that tinge of personal reference and logic to back it up. As far as I know, he writes using those pointers in mind. I won’t recommend following him because he’s one epidemic that flies from one blog to another, but if you catch a glimpse of him, be sure to ask him personally what to do.
