The sun sets, the year ends… and another year begins when the sun rises…
There is a time where all things pass. As they say, not all things last forever. But things and events are always recorded on the pages of time, so that we can always remember them. For all things past was not all for naught, and all things present aren’t going to be what it seems for all things future, even after becoming things past.
So it’s been one hell of a roller coaster ride! Rainbowsphere finally celebrates its first blogniversary thanks to all of you guys who continue to visit and think of the site as an enjoyable place to be. But if I were to really follow the founding date of the original site before I was hosted in Dasaku, which was October 2007, then the site’s a year and a half old. Then again, considering that the past incarnations failed to last and/or improve themselves, then I guess my permanent stay here in Dasaku marks my first real existence in the blogging world. With that, I can say I’m quite fulfilled staying under Randall’s wing.
The site has evolved full circle, though it’s not like a good year to note. Okay, maybe it was. It was the first year after all. So many “firsts” to experience and all that mushy stuff. Right. First time to get a real blog out of good hosting. First time to go beyond a month without ever tiring, even if most of the posts were mostly episodic animu reviews, which was also a first for me. First time not to be afraid of posting porn and eroge content without people telling me that PORN IS BAD though most of the fuckers like the porn anyway. First time to receive comments. First time to get motivated because I see people visiting the site. First time to REALLY tinker with Wordpress. First time to have spam. First time to have trolls. First time to troll. Heck, I have a lot to list on firsts, and I think I won’t finish in one go even if I try to list them all. Maybe this makes the first year quite worthwhile.
Dasaku’s members are also quite the bunch. They were there to help, cause mayhem and MASSIVE ORGY, give advice on some things, and give their own opinion about things straight from their brains to the Dasaku IRC channel. They just never fail to stick on the status quo, and do even better, ALL THE GODDAMN TIME. I wouldn’t daresay compare it to Maestro’s mindless legion of bloggers, but I can say we’re SUPERIOR TECH. Special mentions would have to go to Hemisphere, Xephfyre, Cokematic, Zeroblade. Kudos to you guys.
But still, there are some from the opposition that fare well enough, or are just independent on their own right and forte. Mentions include ghostlightning, usagijen, astrobunny, Arenagato, Moogy, Kurogane, Mike, lolikit, Impz, Loli-tan (rest in peace…), Eternal, and the other guys I forgot to mention because I don’t do bloghopping that often. You guys fill the void that is out of what the Dasaku people can cover. You guys are way better than A CERTAIN OTAKU NEWS SITE we Dasaku members know very well (oh yes, we do know it very well indeed).
I’d like to give a special mention to lelangir, Owen and of course, our dear “Onii-chan” Randall Fitzgerald. If it weren’t for these faggotsbastardstrollsguys, blogging would never be fair and same. They instill hardcore opinion even though they just do their thing. Using them as basis to keep myself in check, I can say that they have been part of the evolution of my still incomplete writing style, as well as the evolution of the blogosphere itself. The bastards are still the best at what they do. Can’t argue with that.
I must also thank mellow_bunny and RyanA for their help in developing and redesigning of the site. Without them, I wouldn’t go so far as to relearn CSS, PHP, and the like. I wouldn’t employ trial and error on designing the site’s theme, and get what I wanted by myself in the end. You two are always appreciated no matter how small the help may be.
To my followers and to the ones I follow on Twitter, may we continue the good times. If we can’t duke it out on the blog or on IRC, we can always do it here. You guys effectively waste my time, in a very wholesome and meaningful way.
And lastly, to you, my omnipotent reader, as well as the others that have read before and after you, I give thee my thanks once again. Without you guys, it would feel as if I’m writing to myself. To write without meaning is far worse than not to write at all. But as courage and enthusiasm dictates, this may not be so. I thank you with all of my heart that you continue to patronize the site, if not from start to finish.
Self-reward and self-recognition has always been a part of my daily routine. At least you know you appreciate your own efforts as you also appreciate others’.
Okay, enough with this toe-licking and self-degradation. My narcissistic ego can’t take it no longer, and I’m no good for such. My long list of gratitude’s out, I need not do any of this anymore. Then again, here’s to more finger blisters in an attempt to find the concept of “genuine blogging”. Let’s just not hope I don’t get lost in that spiral paradox.

Lulz.
Also congrats, on the 1-year thing.
Congratulations! More years to come!
Happy 1 year.
…did you mean “omnipresent“?? Omnipotent is another thing entirely, unless Gensokyo is somehow your blog’s target audience.
Thanks guys. Makes all the writing worthwhile.
And well… it kinda works for me… since I think the readers also have to power to make a blog go round…
Or maybe I just didn’t do THAT well on my English class…
1年のことおめでとうto your blog.
Blogging is like another journey in life. You are bound to trip and fall and land on your face, but you must not stop feeding us with moar illusts.
Go practice, space bunny…
And show some progress…
