⑨/⑨/⑨: A Cat is Fine on a Strongest Day

It just came. I don’t know how, I don’t know why. I don’t even think it needs a reason. But just a few hours ago, idiots became the strongest people, and that potent illusion may have come from one of the finest cats for the day.

999Definitely agreeable, no?

With people buzzing around about Cirno’s day on Twitter, it made me curious for a bit. So I took a look at the calendar, which made me drop a most precious piece of bite-sized strawberry ice-cream sandwich cookies that I was planning on eating, with a planted expression that most of us might have already known.

“What in the…”

Yup, yesterday was Cirno’s day indeed. The date itself says so. If Sesame Street was showing that time, and the favorite number for the day is ⑨, I might have pulled hairs on end. The day, even with me sleeping the most of it, littered itself with bad weather, near-freezing cold, ice cream, ice fairy pictures, and the number ⑨. That being said, it sure is nice for Cirno to get all the attention. Almost…

9992And to think we were hoping to get frozen frogs…

Her inclusion, along with four more characters on one of the latest Touhou games so far, was already well-celebrated, if not for Sanae stealing someone else’s spotlight as another miko on the loose. Of course, most of the people weren’t expecting it, nor were they expecting Cirno to be of any good use as a character. Bad chargeup moves, below average ranged attacks, useless spellcards, though with a good sense of mobility on both air and ground, aside from combo effectiveness. IaMP China tier or lower, as far as anybody else sees it.

That aside, later that night, minutes before midnight to be exact, I checked on Xephfyre’s site, only to find another thing that made me drop my cellphone: Len’s birthday.

LenYup, I definitely forgot that a cat was fine that day.

Of course, this made me check both my Melty Blood and Kagetsu Tohya applications, from which I got the message. And to think I’m a TYPE-MOON fan! Anyways, hope you get a little “nourishment” from Shiki as a present, little succubus (though I don’t really intend the innuendos, mind you). As for White Len, well, she’s a questionable one, since I don’t know which of her “birthdays” will I follow, which is either Len’s birthday, or the day Aozaki Aoko created her from TATARI’s remains.

Sigh… Does this mean I’m bad with remembering occasions..?
