Okay… what? Another filler in the house, yo. Anyways, this Ako chapter is one of the chaps that Akamatsu justifies every involved character possible in the span of just near 18 pages. Cunning, no? But no, it gets better: he doesn’t stop elaborating until he’s given enough emphasis to everybody. That’s storytelling for you.
Chap starts with the gang (it’s mostly, or all, the slaves) buying some groceries for the festival. They notice a betting game in a brawl, and Kotaro explains that there’ll be lots of them coming up on the festival, with the coveted Nagi Springfield cup being the most popular. Of course, cash prizes and bets will be sky-high, and that applies to Ako’s admiration for Nagi as well. Akira then consults the others when she feels conscience knocking again, and Chisame and Murakami try to devise plans to end the budding relationship before it’s too late. But it already was too late, as Ako is going mushy-wushy on Nagi’s clothes, till she bumps on Tosaka (the hoodlum wannabe who has a mummy bear, HAHA MUMMY BEAR), who then picks a fight with her again. Ako tries to fight back, and Tosaka retaliates, till his mum finally beats the crap out of him. Tosaka then bumps on Negi disguised as Nagi, who hides, transforms back to Negi, and disappears. Of course, Tosaka saw everything, and remembers the wanted people on the list. Ako the finally meets Negi and confesses that she has indeed fallen beyond the graze of love for Nagi.
Ooooookay, so this chap is all mushy-wushy Ako. I’m sure Mystic-Vegetto would be shitting bricks right now, but that doesn’t matter anyways. This filler kinda gave me a cliffhanger that makes me want to wait for the next chap like hell. Of course, this may draw an acute conclusion to the Ako-Nagi love affair, but hey, it’s OSTIA, MEGALOMESEMBRIA. Anything goes, and anything CAN go. whatever that is, either it ends, or it doesn’t. Either way, I wanna see this out.
