Such a nice topic here. Basically, this would be one of those certain questions that a Touhou fan would usually encounter in his or her lifetime. Would liking Touhou brand you as a lolicon? Is it so bad a thing to like such a game that it makes people think you like underaged girls with exposed armpits, anemia spells, mini-stArk Reactors, or padded boobs? Well…
I GUESS IT’S ABOUT TIME WE LAY DOWN OUR SPELLCARDS AND PROVE THEM WRONG.
People, people, people. Some of them just judge us so quickly, no? They thought us wrong, VERY WRONG, and I’ll give them some of the general piece of mind of the Touhou populace.
To kick this topic off, here are some few reasons why people think we Touhoufags ARE NOT lolicons:
1. Playability. Touhou actually scores high on this one. I myself didn’t actually expect danmaku shmups were so easy a thing to dodge and play. Plus, the different patterns are beautiful and challenging to defeat, hence the so-called Spell Break. Furthermore, it doesn’t cater to just bullet hell anymore. There’s a lot of doujin games out there, and some official games that use the fighting genre instead of the usual danmaku. So what if every character in it is a young little girl? So what if it involves fanservice? SO WHAT IF TOUHOU HAS A CONVENTION OF ITS OWN WITH ERODOUJINS AND DOUJIN GAMES AND EROGE DOUJINS SWARMING LIKE ARROWS AND BULLET HELL THAT BLOTS OUT THE SUN?!
There’s only one say to that: FIGHT IN THE SHADE.
2. The characters. Touhou characters are enticing and interesting well enough to have large fanbases for each of them. It’s normal for fanpeople to draw stuff for them, make doujin games and music arranges for them, voice for them, sex them in paperback or doujin eroge form, “play” with them, and own other people with them on 2P and netplay games. There’s no stopping people, especially if their fave characters are paired up with another one, which spawns another fanbase for said coupling. See, a simple trademark, outfit or fashoin style, battle style, even the way they speak is enough for people to love them. A simple fan would already laugh when they read or hear Marisa saying -ZE, or snicker when a doujinka uses Aya’s AYAYAYAYA catchphrase. They go moe when they see Reimu’s armpits, or make dirty jokes about Sakuya and her knives (which we mostlysometimes see in private action…). Hell, people even love Alice leaking poop!

3. Story. Yup, story. Gensokyo is a world with endless possibilities, with stories popping up in every nook and cranny there is. You can make things happen here, or anticipate another event that’s taking place. You can create your own reality here using the characters, or join others in an alternate one. To be frank, Gensokyo is for everyone, Touhou fan or not. It’s up to people on how to percieve these, and they have to find this out on their own. To judge the game as a lolicon game DOES NOT JUSTIFY this aspect though, and this is a very disappointing fact, considering some little puny humans have so little a mind to see things on an external point. Trust me, some even don’t know a tinsy bit of the story yet brands it as lolicon or even pedo! /RAEG
4. The general appeal. A lot of people are enticed to Touhou. Females, kids, gamers, and most of the general lot are into this game, fan-wise. So, can you brand a kid as a lolicon? How about a female? I think that alone is already common sense so I’m not going to explain that to you. Blame ZUN and his booze instead.

There are a lot of ways to prove people wrong on this idea about the fans being lolicons. Basically, this is just one of the rather “above-average” issues that deal with Touhou fandom. There are lot more on rumors and such, and some may be worse. But this stands out considering it tackles one of the most volatile genres on the otaku society, which is Loliconism. But then again, those above enumerations should be able to make fags shut the fuck up.

Ok, let me ask you one thing.
I see here that you do not like to be associated with someone who likes “Lolicon”
But tell me, are you absolutely positively sure that lolicon is indeed something that shouldn’t exist?
And what about Female’s not being able to be a lolicon lover?
You make it sound that only “men” can like it.
And another thing. Has it ever occurred to you that MAYBE, in even the slightest of chances, this whole “anti-loli” society was created by society itself? People who follow other people.
Because, when I look at our past. At what would be right, or wrong.
I can see that this “feeling” has been with humanity since the beginning.
And do note, I do not approve of child rapists. I loathe them actually.
But that is something that takes us on a different path of right and wrong.
Hurting someone, in this case raping someone, is bad. It is not something anyone should do. And I am completely behind the feelings of hate towards child rapists. BUT.
Can you say that raping lets say, a 13 year old girl is any worse than raping a 30 year old lady?
No you cannot, it is both wrong. thats what counts, the act of raping is bad. Not the feeling of sexual attraction to minors.
Now when looking back at the whole Lolicon part of this story I will state one thing clearly.
Lolicon, can NOT by any means called “child porn”
Sure, it depicts a minor in sexual situations, but that does not make it child porn. Because for something like lolicon to be tagged as “child porn” there WILL have to be real children involved in it’s creation.
I myself am a Touhou fan, I love playing the games. But, I will be completely honest, I am also a Lolicon.
This is not something I became, or even chose to be like.
And the worst thing about this world we live in today is. I have these feelings, never hurt anyone. And still if I would publicly announce this, I will probably be murdered.
Seeing this fact, it makes me look towards the same kinds of situations in the past. Take homosexual relationships for example, that was considered wrong, evil even. wasn’t it?
It was morally not accepted by “Society”.
As is the same with this, and please remember my statement on rapists.
Even though having this feeling, I do not approve of rape.
Now, what would make this case any different from the homosexual situation that we all adapted to?
Is it wrong to think that amongst those people you view with hating eyes, might be allot of good people, people who would NEVER hurt someone like rapists and molesters do.
You probably want to reply to this with the word “consent”
But I will beat you to that topic. When taking on the word consent to exercise your hatred towards anyone with these feelings would make you the evil part of humanity.
Just what is consent, when is it applied?
To start off, how about we take a look at where we begin. In your mother’s womb.
There have been numerous reports of infants masturbating inside their mother’s womb.

Ok so, now we have some clear picture on actually how a child makes sexual exploration.
I have witnessed one situation, and heard of one other from my sister who is now 15.
Last summer, I went to the city with a friend of mine, who is in fact also with the same feelings as me.
I went to buy an A/C because it was really hot this summer. On the way back, we went into the bus, and I stood at the back door because I had to watch the A/C.
When about half way I looked around in the bus, and at the front (bus isn’t that big) there was a 4 people seating area. a mother and her 2 girls sat there. The girl who in my eye of sight was sitting on the right, was sitting rather vulgar. With her legs up exposing her underwear.
I will not lie to you, I didn’t mind the view. And think of me what you will, but please stay focused on the reason why I am telling you this.
After a while, her mother kept saying she had to sit down, and not do that. Then her sister started to say stuff like
“Mom, I can see her underwear again”
And so the mother became a little more agitated.
But here is the thing that struck me like a truck.
I looked at the girl, and she was masturbating. Or at least something in that direction. She was rubbing her underwear and playing with it. And it didn’t take an expert to see that she liked it.
That girl was living proof for me, that the whole “they aren’t ready, they don’t know what it is” theory was in fact not true. And I have some side proof for that, and that is how society works.
Think about it, since children are able to do things, they are constantly reminded that things like that, should not be done. It is not that parents are bad parents. But I am saying that this is inside the children since they are born, it’s only being suppressed by society and parents.
Now the other thing, which in my opinion was kind of funny to hear, my sister’s birthday was last sunday. She became 15 and I went home to celebrate it with my family. Well after dinner we went to a nature park, where somehow I got into a conversation with my sister about children masturbating in the womb of their mother. She had also heard it before and I told her about the whole thing with what I had seen in the bus. also that I thought people were thinking wrong about how children work and if they are ready you know.
Well then my sister said to me something along the lines of “Yeah, I have seen something too”
She then told me that my youngest sister (8 years old) and her friend, (dont know her age, around the same)
were erm, well this is the part which I thought sounded funny, my sister used these words they were “hitting each other’s vagina”
