Negima Chapter 219: Menace! Magica Erebea!!

Alright! Action time this chapter, and I say ACTION! Y’hear me? Yeah. Action. It’s about time we see some butt-kicking in such long eons.

So now we see how strong Magica Erebea is, considering it fuses offensive magic with the user at the price of the user’s soul. Now, the question: How does Rakan’s statement make sense? Why is Negi’s affinity so strong that it’s dangerous? What does Rakan mean that Negi “can’t hold it off”? Simple: Grave consequences. We now know Magica Erebea consumes the user’s soul in exchange of so much power. Now, if Negi’s affinity for Dark Magic is high, then there’s a high possibility of him losing his very sanity. How? From usage comes addiction. From addiction comes necessity. And from necessity comes inevitability. If Negi starts to use Magica Erebea too much, the spell will take control of him, use him, and turn him in a killing machine that obliterates anything in its path.

Now, you might be asking why Evangeline never lost her soul to the spell. Simple: A person already consumed by the darkness will only absorb darkness more. In Negi’s case, vice-versa, which means an  “ordinary” person will be consumed by the darkness if he tries to absorb it. Now does that make any sense? No, right?

WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY (Yeah, right, no good pics except the ownage, so live with it)

No boobies, though we got a pint from Honya after Negi carnage. More than half the class retrieved, and the festival begins, with Fate Averruncus lurking possibly in every corner.

I can’t wait for major ownage.
