Writing And “Writing”

I don’t even know why I’m writing this! Or am I even writing this?!

I’ve been told by many people on how I write. I write differently when it comes to my novels and short stories if they compare it to my blog entries. My way of talking to most people are, so they say, “spiked”, “spunky” or “aggressive”, but that doesn’t surface much when I write or talk seriously. And most people tend to confuse the two into my active and passive behaviors, mainly because I’m unstable and confusing myself. Confusing, no?

And that brings the question: How does one write? How does one “write”? What’s the difference between the two? What’s with the stupid quotation marks? Or more importantly, why do they even exist as diversified extensions of the word?

Look, I’m not trying to get smart here, nor am I one-upping you, or bitching at you, or something. I just want to state out and answer the questions, or the so-called “assumptions” by some people who comment on how I write, as well as the entirety of the ideas behind my way of writing. I hope I made that clear before I continue. No Grammar Nazis, no proofreading shit. We’re talking about my “way” of writing, and nothing else.

Now, welcome to my world, bitches… Wait, wrong iconic psychopath…

Just what is writing and “writing”? If you have such a clever wit on the play of words, you’d get my point: One is real, uniform and formal, one is not. If you look at it like you’re skimming a book, you can’t tell the difference. After all, what you write can be read, or spoken regardless of the two mentioned above. These are all pretty much similar in a way that you express yourself through words and such. But think: How does “writing” become uniform and formal? How does writing negate that by being the opposite of the definition?

That, my friends, is my way of writing. In order to fully utilize the “play of words” according to my full capacity on the mental state (which I don’t know what state it’s in), I juggle myself between the two in order to fully develop my own unique style of telling things by the use of digital and physical paperback. Formalization and  the zest in writing makes the story, article, or chapter very interesting, if not informative.  The aspects of the two styles are merged to form a new, third, unorthodox style. See, that’s why most visual novels are told in first-person: Them makers want to make you see everything under the protagonist’s perspective.

Maybe it’s a bit confusing. Merge two contradicting styles? Isn’t that why they are categorized differently from each other? Okay, let me give you an example: I write a novel, does that fall into writing or “writing”? It depends, right? It can still be robust and uniform while having your thoughts brought out in the open the way you like it. Same as when you’re trying to state your opinion. You can tell them what you think in the way you want, and it can or cannot be formal, uniform, or standardized according to certain circumstances.  Isn’t that how some forms of journalism fall into place? Like how a newspaper journalist posts up some “artistic investigation” on something, or how a well-known critic writes his point of view in a way like he’s talking to you casually? That’s how it wraps things up: It depends. The way you use the styles listed is under your own discretion, so there’s no stopping you, whether they contradict or not. To add on that, it renders your way of writing unique, and, in a sense, your own. That’s why I’m confident on the way I write regardless on what some people think. I write, I “write”, I WRITE, that’s it. There’s nothing unstable, confusing, or insane on that. Wait, I take the last one back.

And so I leave you with this final question: What category does this tl;dr post go into?

Maybe you’re thinking too much into this o_o

Maybe, maybe not. Or maybe because there are bitches and moralfags who complain a lot on how I go around. Mods would ban me, people would get offended, or throw back their own twist of shit. I don’t really mind, but the first one would probably be problematic since any higher-up who doesn’t know a thing toward me would just get irked and even powertrip for no apparent fucking reason, maybe because I’m made of so much winnage that he/she/it does.

You can do anything you want, sure. But I don’t think this aggressive stance of yours invites readers, though. Haste often makes waste, but if it’s how you write, it’s how you write.

Your confrontational stance in a lot of things may be all right for you, but a lot of people are irked with it. As I can see from your comment, however, your pride will probably get you through.

It’s not like I’m not used to the way people think about me. I get the picture most of the time. But as I always say: Do I care?

It’s not like I always do this aggressive stance you speak of. And if I’m aggressive enough, I would’ve done porn talk long ago. AND A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T LIKE HOW I DO PORN TALK.

Besides, this is my place after all. Anybody can talk how they want to talk, formal, informal, or whatever the shit is. I want to make anybody who visits here feel they’re free to do anything, even throw shit at anyone or everyone, me included.

Lastly, it’s not really something about pride. It’s me. But the way you generalize things should already make you realize what type of person I am. After all, a person’s writing reflects the person itself.
