It's a good definition, but the word 'otaku' is seated in Japanese culture, so I guess this is why most people delimit the term to anime and manga. Moar fucking macross is a battlecry of sorts. It puts value into our pitiful self-redeeming closed-circuit lives. That's a pretty in-a-nutshell way of describing the word, though I'm not into fighting over semantics. I just love to write posts that make me feel like I'm some sort of literary academic, and sorry for being a horrible writer, I'm no l33t writer, just a person who explodes into Starfish Mode when I see something moe.
