It still is. Not that I care about it. You don't get to see them use it on the modern meaning in a sense anyway, moonland-wise.

I believe that in your sense 'otaku' is just a transliteration of the '-phile' English term. It's a good definition, but the word 'otaku' is seated in Japanese culture, so I guess this is why most people delimit the term to anime and manga.

Well, not criticizing you that much, really. I just kinda... well... got off the plug when you strayed from the otaku talk and went straight into the anime talk. I was like... what?

It's totally fine to express yourself, and it's also totally fine to express yourself according to what others have already expressed. Freedom of speech, no? We all have it at out disposal. It just seems that we're currently at gunpoint with each other, yes?

Anyways, yes, MOAR FUCKING MACROSS.

Dude. Moar fucking macross is a battlecry of sorts. It puts value into our pitiful self-redeeming closed-circuit lives. That's a pretty in-a-nutshell way of describing the word, though I'm not into fighting over semantics. I just love to write posts that make me feel like I'm some sort of literary academic, and sorry for being a horrible writer, I'm no l33t writer, just a person who explodes into Starfish Mode when I see something moe. But hey, nothing beats a description for the man on the street. Nice one.
