Zero no Tsukaima – Princess no Rondo 6: The Forbidden Magic Medicine
Finally! Some Siesta time! I was thinking for further eps, but I didn’t expect it to come too soon. So much for waiting, but this kinda got my funny bone for a bit while waiting for my copy of ep 7 to come by.
So yeah, my backlogs haven’t changed even though I had a Monday. Sucks for that.
The ep starts with the Siesta family lineage having a forum on an item in question: A heart-shaped vial full of powder. What does it contain? Scarron and Jessica tells that it’s a legendary love potion capable of anybody ingesting it to fall in love with any person the drinker sees fit. The plan seems to be speeding up the relationship between Saito and Siesta, now that Siesta herself is already pledged as Saito’s “belonging”. That does give another meaning to it. How about “Mistress?”
Everybody loves a Cinderella story… sort of…
Siesta was hesitant but first, but her feelings for Saito pushes her onward to planning some “private time with her master”, which she did. Siesta pulls Saito away from Louise and then goes to the commoner’s quarters, which the Undine Knights (who were then pulling grass from the fields as punishment from the perverted deed last ep) and the other girls didn’t fail to notice.
PUNISHMENT TIEM!
So everything’s set, and we’re ready to launch. Siesta was still having second thoughts, but was pushed into a critical point by a sudden visit from Jessica and Scarron. And of course, we get a dose of fanservice, which was again screwed up by the timely intervention of kid-friendly Censorship-san. The Legendary 裸エプロン beckons!
You’ll have no problems on the front views, Saito, but the meaty back view? Oh fuck… lucky you…
UV rays are starting to annoy me. They’re becoming the best weapons of mass anime content destruction. And unlike the Strike Witches version, JC Staff uses these abundantly. Talk about quarter of the screen, yes? THAT MUCH, EVEN THOUGH THERE’RE CLEARLY NO WINDOWS EXCEPT ON SAITO’S OPPOSITE DIRECTION?!
Fuck you, Saito, FUCK YOU!
Chaos ensues when Siesta accidentally drops the vial, and the contents took effect on Montmorency. Ironic, since Monmon is the person who introduced the love pots in the series (think back the first season). Monmon then goes rampant, rapes Louise. After kissing Louise, the potion took effect on her as well, making Jessica confirm that it’s a kissing love potion, a more forbidden type of the lot. Monmon then goes yuridere on Beatrice, and Louise captures Jessica. When the whole kiss rampage group found Tifa, they turned on her, only to get turned back to normal by one of Tifa’s restoration magic.
I’d love to have Elfrs in my party. And that’s one unique wand, I can say.
It seems that Tifa has powers more inclined to white magic and more of the sort. Restoration, resurrection, and probably healing, I’d expect those. I hope this isn’t the first instance that this would happen.
Still, the gag time for SIesta’s ep is good enough. Beatrice-Monmon goodness was pretty much in an overreacting state (two kisses, and unrestricted at that, but too bad it wasn’t frenched), and RAEPLOUISE is kinda scary in a way. Jessica and Scarron may not have that much of air time, but their appearance was interesting enough to spice Siesta’s pilot starring for this season.
Finally.
But there’s one more thing that finally gets me onto following this series a bit with interest: Tabitha’s story. The King of Gallia, Josef, finally orders Sheffield to fetch Tabitha. Character-wise, Josef is Tabitha’s uncle, and the current king of Gallia. It may be that he was the one responsible for Tabitha’s personal and familial mishap (poisoning her mother, killing her father, which caused her to become as she is now), so we’ll get more elaboration by the next ep.
