Toradora! 4: That Moment’s Expression

This is a change of pace. Now we get a sudden, opposite shift of behavior from Taiga on this ep. She drastically went from the punky bitch to something sort of a sweet little girl going ga-ga over a guy. And her variant seems to be that of the more scary side, too. Kitamura would be in big trouble if this story went off with the twist.

Seriously, what’s this?

Okay, so Taiga’s been stealing snapshots of Yusaku from all angles possible. But somehow, her shutter skills aren’t leveled up properly, she can’t get a good shot straight. Well, she ain’t Aya Shameimaru, for fuck’s sake, but I know an ordinary person who can do better: Takasu Ryuji. At least he can do better than taking shots at speeds of Mach 1, which we all know the tengu who can. And so Ryuji offers assistance, and possible masochistic slavery of taking photos, to Taiga, AGAIN.

T-t-take it! TAKE IT! TAKE IT!

Toradora! 3: Your Song

Weee! It’s a Minorin ep! A Minorin ep! This focuses mainly on Minorin and her random job antics pursued with optimistic endeavor! Can Taiga and Ryuji keep up?! OH YES, THEY WILL!

WHY SO SERIOUS?

For the past few days, the loudness and shiny personality of Minorin gets noticed by the duo. Softball, work, school, name it, she’ll be at it. Of course, this causes some dere dere convulsions for Ryuji, much to Taiga’s chagrin. The dragon’s gaining lead on the love life genre and the tiger’s not really happy about it.

EYEPOKE FOR EXTREME JUSTICE!

Toradora! 2: Ryuji And Taiga

And suddenly, a zigzagging of events turned nearly half the manga’s volume into just an episode. Well, does that mean we’re going sort of 13 episodes again? If so, then this is a good time to wrap things up into just an episode without losing the important bits. This one nearly got away with it.

MUSSELS!

Taiga starts hanging around Ryuji’s home, much to Ryuji’s chagrin. Yasuko doesn’t bother about the new “resident”, even though Ryuji doesn’t approve it. Ryuji can’t say no, though. Taiga is his only link to Kushieda Minori. Saying no would have to mean whamming yourself in an iron wall. That also goes for Taiga, but I don’t know if Ryuji even has the balls.

And so, they then devise plans to get their crushes for attention. The first plan: “Be-partners-with-them” plan! The plan is to pass balls forcefully to each other, and intentionally avoid catching them for the ball to hit the partners of both Yusaku and Minori. Okay, seems like a sound plan, but I don’t get it. I mean, they could’ve asked them persons in question instead! Not to mention a failed catch and pass, which resulted in Taiga getting a bloody nose (which is sadistically moe in a way).

Moepwnt is moe.

Toradora! 1: Tiger And Dragon

Whoa! Was that too early for you? We just stopped around a few days after the past season, and we’re rolling again! I feel like I can get up on a pace, so let’s mosey!

Toradora is my number two pick for fall season anime, and I think that it’s doing well enough for my span of interest. We start off as Taiga and Ryuji go to school on their own accord, the former trying to get a hold of herself, and the other starting off early. Now, everything seems to be fine for them. Oh really? I don’t think so, though. And so we’re introduced with Ryuji’s everyday problem.

Trust me, that’s his normal smile, I swear.

Welcome to Ryuji Takasu’s life: Having a biological inheritance of fierce dragon eyes from his yakuza father, everybody thinks he’s a bad, angry delinquent. Well, that’s harsh of everybody to presume. I mean, the weak bastard can’t even hit a soul, and yet all the students in his school think he’s bad, bad, bad! What’s with all the people getting scared of that? And his hobbies are housekeeping writing poems, collecting songs and some more boring shit? How good a guy can you get for someone who’s got eyes of a dragon?

RAWR!
