This Is Probably Another Comeback Post: Taking A Peek Inside An Impoverished Otaku’s Busy Routine

A lot of things happened in the span of six months. Hiatuses have been made, comebacks have been declared, illustrations have been drawn, art contests have been won, games have been played, and the list goes on from there. But before you decide to take the stick to beat your dear blogger to death because another alibi’s coming up, hear me out.

Shance Doing Art Again? For Christmas?! Ridiculous!

Or not.

For people who read my past entries, or saw my post archive for art, or simply just know me, they know that I still draw a bit even after killed my gallery for some unknown and untold reason (I can’t remember what the hell happened, since I already have Pixiv and other sites to take care of my art stuff, but I digress). So when Christmas arrived, and people were asking for presents, the only thing I could suggest is me drawing something for them, and I did.

My good friend Raemz asked me to draw Bell from Pokemon as a present, in exchange for him drawing a semi-romantic picture of Red and Kotone from Pokemon for myself. It was a rather simple and abrupt exchange of presents, but it was swift and very, very nice.

Gen1 Red is sooo BISHONEN ARA IKEMEN~.

As for mine, I went on with the kemonomimi + oversized shirt theme I’ve already been doing for a few days.

HNNNNNNGH-worthy, if I say so myself.

I Grew Up, But I’m Still a Child at Heart

You’re currently looking at a prime example.

It was a rainy afternoon. I originally planned to go out shopping. I plan to also get my hair trimmed because it’s already too long. The rain stopped me somehow, and I suddenly found myself outside of my front door, leaning  forward on the cold ledge while smoking a lit cigarette. Then a kid with a playmate passed by, noticed me, and started to talk to me. “You’re the person who knows a lot of anime and lives in here, right?” he asked. Though I was surprised on how he knew, I nodded. Then, without regard to the order of things, he proceeded to ask, “Aren’t you a bit too old to be watching those kinds of things now?”

Drowning in a Sea of Media

Uh… What have I been doing again…?

I finally decided to take a bit of a break from artfagging. Days passed by with the brain going on full throttle without any regard to brakes or whatever of the sort. That, of course, only means that I’m back here, posting away while trying to regain proper amounts of brain matter to continue my creative exploits.

There’s only one problem: I’m currently, and mentally, in the middle of nowhere.

This Is Shance

Due to some surge of curiosity, I recently tried Making you a two-dimensional girl from the link I fished out from Sixten’s site. All you have to do is enter your name, and it generates a brief description of your 2D self, from clothes to personalities.

This is what I got:

If shance was 2D: 『Wears a China dress. Has droopy eyes. Has long, green hair. An erotic and seemingly lonely character.』

And so, it came to this…

Have Art, Will Hiatus

Fighting the good fight.

Ah, yes. You might be wondering where the hell was I when the new season came in. I-i-i-i-i-it’s not like I wasn’t watching out for it or anything! I just did something else, that’s all! But tsundere jokes aside, yes, I was gone. Again. No excuse to give, nothing much to tell but the valid alibi. Let’s just say I’m pretty much bored wasting myself watching oldschool shows during my short trips down the Memory Lane.

The Extremities of the Impoverished Otaku

It’s like Touhou Nekomata: You can show how you’re rabidly cute… WITH A CHAINSAW.

The game is moving in a steady phase somehow. Because of that, the blogosphere suddenly questioned a certain factor that makes us what makes us. Strength? Rage? Depth? Mindless Inclination? Rabid Determination? Surely, this goes beyond preference, depth, and the different ways to achieve satisfaction from the fandom, yes? So what about it?
