New Thunderforce Images

New images of the new starfighters for Thunderforce VI came out today, in full wallpaper size glory.

MAN IT!

Both seem to keep their logos in affiliation, Rynex to the GF (Galaxy Federation), Phoenix to TF/UEF (Thunderforece/United Earth Fleet). Strange enough, the TF/UEF faction dons the Guardian’s Heart emblem. Tribute to the AI? Or maybe something that the AI did? Who knows?

Thunder Future: MOAR PEW PEW PEW!

The guys from Thunderforce Forever got caught off guard when Technosoft suddenly announced Thunderforce VI. They were in the middle of doing a fan-made side-shooter nicknamed Thunder Future, which is still under development as of now. They recently released a video for their progress:

It seems that the starfighter of choice is still good ol’ Rynex. No specifications on other weapons and CRAWs yet, except for the demonstrated Hunter weapon. No Over Weapons either, and I presume it’s still under development. As to why they’re still using Rynex, who knows. It’s everyone’s oldest little starfighter anyways. It’s meant to kick galactic ass.

Most of the news and updates are posted on their site, so it you want an additional zap to that much anticipated Thunderforce VI, you might as well anticipate this too. Now, if only Captain Falcon were to man this baby so he can deliver our most anticipated FALCON PUNCH. Then again, nobody needs to get punched in the gut for instant abortion. At least not yet.

Thunderforce VI News

Thunderforce VI finally gets its own Wikipedia entry months after making it official. It appears that they tried to continue the timeline from Thunderforce V, or is that true? I mean, take a hint on this excerpt of the RVR-00 Phoenix from the wiki:

The next generation trial production type general purpose fighter, created by scientists from the United Earth Fleet. Although its number is set before RVR-02 Vambrace, the Phoenix is more advanced than its predecessor, a multipurpose fighter that was put to the test against Orn forces. It can battle independantly without need for supporting forces, able to absorb energy from various attacks by Orn forces and perform CRAW macromolecule assist. Phoenix is originally built from the remains of an unidentified ship, however this information is kept top secret by the military.

Ship? or SHIPS? I mean, seriously, anybody who hasn’t heard of Broken Thunder should drop dead now. RVR-00 Phoenix has production designs of both RVR03G Bracer (A.K.A. Rarebrace) and FIRE-LEO05VC Syrex (A.K.A. Syrinx, but this name is also used officially for the first presumed release of TFVI, so they dropped it and took the current name instead)!

It’s the only picture of the RVR-00 Phoenix around…

From the picture’s point of perspective, let’s take a look at RVR-00 Phoenix’s wingspan. Most parts are from the Bracer’s and Syrex’s wingspans, the cannons from the former and the extended boosters from the latter. The shield on the left wing is probably from RVR-02B Brigandine, and the long Over Weapon cannon is possibly a variation of RVR-02 Vambrace’s version. The wingspan length is derived from RVR-01 Gauntlet, while the lower supports are from Bracer. The overhead booster is from Bracer as well.

Now, the design isn’t really bad. I mean, it’s VERY GOOD! All the latest possible designs from the Earth side is jammed into one experimental starfighter (to which we’re yet to know the pilot, but may still possible that it’s Cenes Crawford…) that will own interstellar ass in the future years to come. The CRAWs used by the Phoenix are also revved up with the new Marcomolecule Assist. But if its design we’re talking about, RVR-02 Vambrace still gets my vote. You never get pure power and pure simplicity in one machine.

Rynex II: Classic comeback of a classic starfighter.

Thunder Force VI: IT’S BAAAAACK!

Yes! Technosoft’s back, bitches! The classic Thunder Force series now gets its sixth sequel after such a long hiatus composed of scattered fanshit and eons and millenia of withdrawal seizures. No, it’s for real this time around, so calm down for fuck’s sake. It’s not even under the codename Broken Thunder so stop thinking about that shit game. The only things good in that one were the ship designs and the OP movie, nothing else.

But really, Technosoft, WHAT TOOK YOU SO DAMN FUCKING LONG?!

The game is to be released in Japan this coming October 30th, with PS2 as the console of choice. Pretty good choice considering it’s still better compared to the now humbled down PS3. Besides, I think they’re been trying to work this out in secret, which took them long enough maybe because of lack of funds.

Also, the game’s surprisingly at a whole new scale. Talk about multidimensional scenarios, new weapons, new looks, and new bosses! Nah, it’s actually the same kind of still uber kewl shit, really, as what you can expect of Tehcnosoft. The only things that did change are:
