Reitasai Works Update 5

KITA! KITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Remilia, Suika, Reisen, and Komachi are included into Scarlet Weather Rhapsody! Special thanks to Totaku for the pic!

SWR Cast Complete?!

More SWR characters revealed! AND I TOLD YOU THERE’S GOING TO BE SUIKA!

No updates by Tasofro on their site though, but this gives it away. Now that this got my interest, I guess I’ll see SWR in a better light after all.

Reitasai Works Update 4

Yuyuko’s in! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yuyuko

YUYUCOOOOOOW!

Man, I’ve been stalking tasofro’s site for ages! One down, tow more to go.

AND STILL NO FUCKING SUIKA!

Kara no Kyokai - Garden of Sinners Movie 1: Overlooking View

What does it mean to float? What does it mean to fly? What is the difference between floating and flying? Is one content to float on a certain, overlooking view, or must one fly into the vast skies to amass the new facets the world has to offer? What does it take to float? What does it take to fly? How does one know if one is floating or flying? And what reason is there to do them?

Kara No Kyokai Title

Finally, the long awaited official animation for Kara no Kyokai with its first movie episode, and I must say I’m impressed at how it’s trying to go parallel with the novel, as well as the splendid work done with the animation. I’m going to go serious this time guys, so fuck the puns this time around. Serious material needs serious assessment, and for that I’ll waste not a second.

The Door

Kokuto visits Shiki.

Someone knocks on the door, and Shiki gets it. After acknowledging it’s Kokuto, Shiki opens the door as he goes in with bags of groceries. Shiki gets a bag while Kokuto proceeds to the bed, bag with magazines in hand. He then tells Shiki he’s got strawberry ice cream for her today. Shiki declines, telling him she doesn’t eat ice cream. Kokuto notions about the weather about being hot, so he bought it. But what got me is how he managed to pick the flavor fitting for Shiki’s image. For one who doesn’t have anything, doesn’t want anything, and doesn’t need anything aside from what she already have, there’s almost nothing to describe an image for Shiki. So for Kokuto to image Shiki in the form of red, blood rose strawberry, he’s got good sense.

Negima Chapter 214: I’m so Glad to See You!

Looks like the releases really come in quick for Negima. However, LeGaCy/Mangaddicted broke news that they’ll be prioritizing more on other releases so Negima may be stalled for now. What gives? There’s Aquastar to fill in, and moreover, I don’t need them scanlations since I mostly read the raws! Unfortunately, the raws for chapter 214 didn’t come up as quick in torrents as it would on scanlated versions. Sucks for that.

Chapter starts with Asuna, Kaede, Setsuna, and Konoka finally arriving at Ostia via a hitchhike on one of the flying ships. As soon as they set foot on Ostia, they immediately felt the brunt of the “End of War Anniversary Festival”. It was pretty much the same as the Mahora Festival, and they didn’t fail to notice as well. That aside, they also readied themselves for any possible threats, since they’re wanted criminals and all, but all there is for now is to enjoy the festival, and that they did.

Arrival

Asuna’s group arrives in Ostia!

They quickly got informed about Negi’s company, as the arena banners are all over the place. Of course, as others enjoyed the festival, Asuna patrolled on key locations around Ostia. Slowly, somehow, her sealed memories get into her for a split second at every location she visits. It’s like everything in Ostia is very… familiar, in a sense. Then she stumbles at a strange, quiet place. A place in a past that is still unclear to her.

Asuna\'s Birthplace...?

Asuna’s past soon to be revealed…?

Reitasai Works Update 3

Tasofro’s been releasing news about Scarlet Weather Rhapsody as days come by. They’re currently announcing one playable character per day as Reitasai closes in.

This day’s for Patchouli, since she’s got a passport to SWR!

Patchouli

Patchouli’s in!

With all the new characters, I’d like to see how the new interface fares for the full version.

Reitasai Works Update 2

Alright, Tasofro’s done it. They just gave off two additional characters for Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, namely Sakuya and Youmu. I knew cuetmaid will make it! Now all they have to add is Suika and SWR would be interesting to my eyes.

Sakuya

Kiliing Doll MK2?!

Youmu

And we’ve never seen Youmu use two swords before! This is neat!

Touhou Dai Udoukai is also present. Looks like a party fight game as Tenka Seiha says. Touhou Chinkara Hou!, a game that seems to be about shooting up Marisa’s skirt. What? Bloomer fanservice game? THIS IS GREAT! Lion Heart (of Touhou Rekkaden fame) is up with Mystical Chain: 体験版2, a 2-way 4-way royal rumble game, using a horizontal interface. And last for now is Weaving the Blue Orient, a horizontal shmup by ELField.

Magical Chain Screenshot

Mystical Chain: 体験版2: You use tag-team characters (the Magic Team in this case) against certain scenarios and spellcards on a fresh horizontal interface.

Kanokon 7: Let Me Warm You Up?

Lord, I can’t believe I’m so late for this EPIC WIN episode of Kanokon. This flew sparks all over the nets, and of course, the drama never stops. Canned Dogs spewed out news of streaming sites not putting up Kanokon 7 just because it’s too “extreme”. What the fuck? You call that kind of fanservice extreme?! THEN I THROW SHUFFLE %#*)&%*&#!!! Kanokon 7 is epic ausum IMO, and everyone else bitching about the fanservice can just GTFO if they don’t want it, nuff said.

Anyways, the episode starts during a snowy day. Kouta immediately feels the cold when he awakens, but then feels something soft and warm around his back. Of course, piqued by the sensation, he begins to reach out to his back, and we already know what happens next: Chizuru fanservice at its expected peak powarz.

BUTTGROPE!

SUCH A JUICY BUTT…

And it doesn’t end there, my friends. We’re not talking about being trapped in snowy white mountai-

MOUNTAINS?!

MOUNTAINS!!! MOUNTAAAAAAAAAAAINS!!!

Nevermind…

Anyways, it’s the usual morning with Chizuru sneaking into Kouta’s room, with Kouta of course being mad at it. But haven’t you noticed something? It’s unusually cold, and of course, this doesn’t get noticed, until a kunoichi who goes by the name Yukihana (Snow Flower) appeared. It seems that she knows Chizuru as she addresses her at a higher station, but for what reason she came, they don’t know… yet.

Both arrive at school but separate when they got there. Chizuru goes with Yukihana to talk, and Kouta headed to his classroom. Of course, Chizuru investigates why Yukihana is in town, and Yukihana answers that she was sent by Chizuru’s mom to prevent Chizuru from seeing Kouta.

\

Uh, you just gave away the whole episode plot, Chizuru…

Rosario+Vampire 38: Shape of the Future

The chapter starts as we discover the person who lured Tsukune’s cousin, Kyouko. This establishes the full comeback of the art professor, Ishigami Hitomi, as Kyouko points her to be the culprit behind the Release Mirror’s current havoc on the school festival. Seems that she’s for more bitching about art, saying that destruction is the best art there is in the world. So much for that the oh-so-dramatic entrance…

Ishikawa the Bitch

Ishigami: DESTRUCTION = ART! ORLY?! YARLY?!

Ishigami then commands the Release Mirror to go flashbang on the group, revealing their true identities in the process. Tsukune was saved however, as Kurumu pushed her out of the way. That’s a good thing, as everyone knows what will happen when Tsukune’s ghoul nature goes out in the open.

Back to the flashbang part, everyone reverts back to their monster form as Ishigami escapes, noting on the secret behind Moka’s objective: Reverse Moka wants the mirror, badly! Tsukune tries to coax the others for a chase, only to be pinned down by the girls themselves. Then Bus Driver-san (and his oh-so-smexy composure) explains why: aside from revealing their true forms, it also reveals their true feelings, i.e. their “true self”, who yearns for their “true desire”. They’ll lose all resolve and understanding and just go for what they want, and in this case, Tsukune got HARD, CONCRETE PROOF.

HOLYFUCKINGSHIT!

HOLYFUCKINGSHIT!

Wangan Midnight 10: 「Spirit of Dogfight」

It was some time before me and Nagato finally managed to fix a problem on my Media Player Classic. The stubborn thing can’t take screenshots properly (it’s fucked up really, it never hard this kind of a problem in the past). After a few tweaks and changes on the settings, it finally boiled down to a stupid conclusion: Restart the stupid player.

Lord, was I so stupid not to notice too soon…

Anyways, that aside. Welcome to Rainbowsphere’s first anime episode review! It’s about time I try to tackle something I watch, since we’ve reviewed games, manga, and all that. Then again, my tastes might not be too different for your fancies, but that’s another matter altogether, all the more that when one mentions cars, one immediately gets a masculine’s mindset.

To begin with today’s synopsis on Wangan Midnight, the episode starts off inside Body Shop Sunday’s garage, where a very tired Takagi sleeps while the garage door opened, only to reveal Kitami Jun rehauling the Devil Z’s engine back to its hood. And so, the resurrection for the Devil Z is completed, with the car keys handed back to Akio, and Kitami declaring that Akio really is the Devil Z’s destined partner.

The Devil Z, Resurrected!

The Devil Z, resurrected!

After testing the finished settings, and giving the devil some fresh runs on the highway, Akio and Kitami land on the rented garage for some final tweaking. Very grateful of the Z’s revival, Akio then asks Kitami how to repay him and Takagi for the work. Kitami answers that he doesn’t need money, and the same goes for Takagi. All they want is for the Z to run, till the very end.

Drive It.

Uh… With that car’s erratic behavior, isn’t that just like telling someone to die?

News spreads quickly, and Hiramoto gets a heads-up from Harada about the Devil Z’s return. Of course, Hiramoto wasn’t that surprised. He knew the devil’s car would be back, and he was prepared for it anyway. So after work has been done, he proceeds to finish his settings on his R. Akio, on the other hand, informs the hospitalized Takagi of how the Z’s been doing, and both are mutually happy at the devil’s current condition.

The Postmortem of Culture Defined

In accordance to my previous post, I happened to find the chance to actually read Andrew’s say on the matter. Intrigued on how Postmortem of Culture/Post Gangrene works and applies to the article, Mike got interested by the matter of how I used the term, and so the discussion in IRC ensued with the topic at hand.

Mike: I don’t understand the Post Gangrene.

It is the deterioration of posts in any way, be it quality, style, even the topic and post body. For example, style is lost when pertaining to a topic, topic is lost when trying to use a good style, etc. This leads to an article/post not being read since it does not hit a certain criterion readers find in the post/article, thus the “gangrene”, or the soon-to-be-imminent “postmortem”. Posts not being read results to a blog not being read, therefore from the post, the gangrene “spreads” throughout the blog body itself, with the blogger either fighting back, or getting ultimately owned, defining the “postmortem” itself on the latter. But of course, if you tend to be random at most times, or have a blogplace that doesn’t necessarily have qualifications, restrictions, or such, then this one doesn’t apply to you. And if you do have qualifications or restrictions, it’s not like you’ll have to encounter such as often as drama sparks in 4chan. That’s why even though I use a good foray of words, I tend to go simple at the most essential of topics, so people would understand, at the very least hopefully, what I’m trying to say.

Mike: I don’t know, I think I’m concise. But I don’t dumb down what I write, I think.

I do dumb down when I need to inject humor. However, humor doesn’t always have the audience laughing, and can sometimes be offensive. See, that’s a problem with freedom of speech: You can tend to hit someone with words, and hurt them, even if you didn’t intend to. And if you do intend to, there’s no other abusive way to do so than in your own turf. That’s how sensitive man is. Or more precisely, that’s how mass media works at the moment.

Reimu and Sakuya

Beauty of the article isn’t defined solely by the words. That’s where “read between the lines” apply.
