Favoritism in P&SwG: I Call Foul in Behalf of Stocking

Now, now. No need for violence. Put those away, and let me do the rest.

I love Stocking. I love it when she gobbles her sweets. I love it when she slices enemies like hot butter. I love it when she gets a lot of air time. I love it when she goes batshit crazy about something. And when I say I love Stocking, that only means I want more Stocking.

Six episodes later, and what do we get? A fingerful, or to be specific, three-fourths of an episode, of Stocking.

I think I’ll have to call foul.

Religion and Hellsing: Catholicism and His Judas Iscariot

Uh-oh…

Before we start, words of warning: DO NOT TAKE THIS POST TOO SERIOUSLY. I only did this to compare and analyze the similarities of the fictional Catholic religion in Hellsing. I have no intention of bashing Catholicism in reality, but anything that needs noting, whether from fiction or reality, will simply be noted for citation and reference of the statements written herein.

Now that that one’s been done and taken away, on with the program.

Hellsing has always served us with gratuitous violence, It raised controversies even after the story has ended (the manga published its final volume in 2008). The most prominent of them are the feuds between the religious groups, especially those of the Catholic sects and the Vatican’s Iscariot Division.

It’s Yaoi Spring Season, and even though a good show is hard to find (I am currently being convinced by a lot of people to watch Angel Beats! and Working!!!), an interesting one came to me in the form of B-Gata H Kei, a.k.a. B-Cup Sex Maniac. While some think that this show is nothing more than a perverted streak of fanservice without any notable plot aside from the main characters’ amorous advances, think again.

It’s an epic battle… in a wrong sort of way, actually…

Kuchu Buranko 6: It Applies to Us Bloggers Too

With the abrupt decision of dropping Railgun (because the manga is picking up the pace after the Level Upper arc, thanks to the scanlators that left it in limbo months ago), we continue on with just Kuchu Buranko for this season. I’m not exactly optimistic on watching this episode, since it tackles something that young people have to deal with (yes! I’m not young, and I’m not giving any emphasis on my age either, since most of you wouldn’t want to know it anyway!), but after watching it a bit, I suddenly thought: “This also applies to bloggers like us, right?”
