Even with the flurry of mindless rage and retardation, Melty Blood is still putting up a fight with Actress Again pulling out something out of continuity’s box: Akiha’s school outfit from Kagetsu Tohya, and the ouragoues addition of Ryogi Shiki.
Any Akiha fan would greatly love Seifuku Akiha. Seriously, she’s got the most fucked up damage output since Warc, Roa and Kouma. Quoting Agematts for the fact:
Mastersage: 5019 damage from a run-of-the-mill 12-hit combo
Add in the Full Moon mode and stable combo strings and everyone’s going to have another Akiha to worry about. As for Ryogi, well, she’s a big disappointment. Her strings are scattered even with the large range, the Crescent Moon and Full Moon modes don’t help much, and her power and speed is greatly nerfed. There wasn’t even a demonstration of Arc Moves aside from that aerial one-hit! She’s like a Tohno-Nanaya-Arcueid hybrid with a red jacket that stands out too much. If this keeps up, she won’t be that much of a treat just yet.
Just checked the recently opened MBAA website by Ecole, and there’s already a date specified on when this baby comes out. Sweet shit. Guess it’s that time to preorder this when it comes out on the webs again.
Also, better watch out for Kubo (he’s the one who uploaded some good Fate/Unlimited Codes vids on Nico when it got out). Once he gets a copy by Friday, he’s going to upload more vids for the game.
But anyways, here are some changes on fighting styles courtesy of Tropsy a.k.a. Nonotan:
-Half Moon (Simple): max bar is 200%, heat at 200% (with charge like Full Moon), if you get hit in heat IT DOES CIRCUIT SPARK AUTOMATICALLY, no Blood Heat, only Ex-shields. If your Ex-Shield is successful, you counterattack automatically (both on the ground and in the air), you can’t Ex-Guard (we got Guard, but we still dunno wtf Ex-Guard means).
-Full Moon (Power): No Reverse beat, no Dodge, but with a+b+c or Q you do a “Power Charge”, many changes in normals and specials.
-Crescent Moon (Speed): Similar to old MBAC, except there’s an AERIAL DODGE .
Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK IS AN AERIAL DODGE. I know there’s aerial wakeup, BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS AERIAL DODGE?! I’mma go think about this before I go to sleep, EVEN IF IT MEANS I DON’T! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Still, new characters are on crossed fingers, but Michael Roa Valdamjong (Near-Side) and Riesbyfe Stridberg are confirmed. Other changes are as follows:
-Larger stages, including both new and alternate versions of stages from Act Cadenza.
-A Guard meter which depletes upon blocked attacks and results in a ‘Guard Crash’ vulnerability state upon depletion.
-Aerial Circuit Sparks (Only available in certain Moon Styles).
-A new attack for Neco-Arc.
I seriously smell SWR here. I SERIOUSLY SMELL IT. But anyways, let’s hope when Winter Comiket comes, this kicks ass.
So, I grabbed hold of Melty Blood Act Cadenza Version B GST. It’s been ages since I tried to get this thing, since the first Melty Blood GST (ReACT? I dunno, all the tracks in it are from ReACT, so…) kinda left me in a daze with all the missing tracks.
Two CDs for 40 legit tracks worth 118MB. I feel cheated…
The tracks are nice. Nicely done fadeout at the end of tracks, more than twice on loop counts (Aoko’s theme for example had 3 loops), and the next song starts smoothly like how it does on the game. Some tracks changed, though, like Warcueid’s theme The End of 1000 Years (which is one of my faves BTW), which had some changes on some parts when compared to its ReACT version.
