Impoverished Takes on Hardcore Gaming: Take That, TheBigN-I mean, Shikieiki!

Two years.

For two years, I didn’t think of playing Touhou Kaeidzuka (東方花映塚, though most of you know it as Phantasmagoria of Flower View, or simply PoFV ). All those short sessions back then were something out of boredom. Now that I’ve picked up the pace, I played it again, and here’s what I got:

Pure, unadulterated… VICTOLY!

The Extremities of the Impoverished Otaku

It’s like Touhou Nekomata: You can show how you’re rabidly cute… WITH A CHAINSAW.

The game is moving in a steady phase somehow. Because of that, the blogosphere suddenly questioned a certain factor that makes us what makes us. Strength? Rage? Depth? Mindless Inclination? Rabid Determination? Surely, this goes beyond preference, depth, and the different ways to achieve satisfaction from the fandom, yes? So what about it?

A “No Problem?” x “No Problem!” Problem: Trapeze Final Impressions

“Y’know, people who don’t have any problems are the biggest problem for me.”

It’s been more than a week since Kuchu Buranko ended. And while each and everyone of us tried to make up for anything from the holidays, the show ended like that. Just like that. As if mocking us to be mental while being sentimental. Well, if that’s the case, I’ll take it as a reason to write a post about it.

Observing Your Clubs, Enjoying The Chaos

Now,  do go on, don’t mind me. I’m just a weird person who’s smiling wickedly by itself while watching attempts of camaraderie.

It’s been a while since I last found myself reading Saturnity’s grand enlightenment again. Now, it’s safe to say I can gladly blame him for concocting another pastime for myself: Observing fanclubs. And judging by the streak it’s making, it’s as interesting as your usual dose of Internet dorama. I’m not going to force you guys to take this ride, but I do appreciate if you hear me out on how the ride’s going so far.

The Christmas Day of the Impoverished Otaku

Lonely Christmas no more: Eating and playing Pocky games with Palette. Then again, considering she’s my mascot (a “moefied” version of myself), does it mean I’m actually playing with myself?

It’s Christmas Day. Christmas Eve has gone by, along with the food, booze, gifts, and greetings to go with it, and the rest of the day seems to promise a more joyous celebration. And for us, the day moves on with our loved ones, both real and fictional. No Santa costumes here, no reindeer costumes either. I want my Christmas simple, but creative. Who knows? It just might add a personal touch of fandom. Works for me, so it should work for you too.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Oh, and if you want to play Pocky games with Palette yourself, here’s her image file. If Palette seems a bit “off” to you, try Reimu, or Alice.
