Negima Chapter 228: Negi’s Party Assembled

More like RE-assembled. Negi and company got off Fate’s clutches in one piece, though I think there may be a bit of unfortunate losses and some others involved. But screw that, NEGIYUE ROUTE!

Careful, or you’ll get stoned.

Nodoka sure pulled a nice one-upper against Fate by using that item to get his true name and aim, though that one cost Nodoka her artifact and if not for Negi’s intervention, her life. Poor Nodoka tried to figure out what happened to her petrified artifact so she can find clues about Fate, or rather, Terti. The aim wasn’t given yet, and probably, the restoration of the petrified artifact may go for another side quest later on.

Anybody care to fill in on this mystery supplemental magic?

Negima Chapter 227: All-Out Battle!

Temporary interruption of GAR this chap. It seems that Magica Erebea wasn’t really mastered much at this point, and Negi has reached his limit. So much for the anticipated rival battle. Cutting it here would be a major cockblock for fans who were expecting a good fight, at least ever since the Chao Lingshen arc.

OMNOMNOM~

Kotarou confronts treant lady, treant lady summons roots of SHOTARAEP. SHOTARAEP ‘d Kotarou turns out to be a Kagebunshin (strong bunshin with density and reality like that of the original, but you know Naruto, screw this), Kotarou escapes with the others. And yes, panty-flipping is always anticipated. Quite surprising for Kotarou to do this, knowing that he can’t hit girls.

As for Asuna and Setsuna, the latter gets to face Tsukuyomi. Way too early to lay out Fate’s cards, but hey, it’s Tsukuyomi. That slut of a Shinmeiryuu will always be there for pettanko insane awesomeness, if not for being a villain.

A Tsukuyomi wants yuri sex with your Setsuna. Engage? Y/N

Negima Chapter 226: Wish Upon A Pair Of Panties

THIS CHAP IS NOW OFFICIALLY APPROVED! And I mean, yeah! It’s about hell time we get nosebleeds along with the GARaction. You don’t get that much of value added service nowadays, let alone devise one.

The whole page is asking for GARTIFICATION.

We continue from Negi’s score (VIA THE PEOPLE’S ELBOW, BITCHES!) on Fate. Fate was caught off guard, and was punished again by Negi via a series of melee and magic. If not for the last Thunder Lance that was “emitted” from Magica Erebea (speaking of which, whatever happened to Cantus Bellax?), everything that was made of Fate matter would’ve been finished. Unfortunately, Fate anticipated the last move. Damn Negi made it slip when he was overcome with rage.

Negima Chapter 225: Proclamation of War

FUCK YEAH! It’s about fucking time Negi made that Fate eat some elbow! This can’t wait until Wednesday anymore. Why?! BECAUSE IT’S THE FUCKING PEOPLE’S ELBOW, BITCHES! EAT IT FOR THE SAKE OF THE WORLD!

FUCKING PEOPLE’S ELBOW’D!

Negotiate, huh?! NEGOTIATE, HUH?! Damn wrong, Bitch Fate! I didn’t expect Asuna to shake the shenanigans out of Negi. But hey, she’s the best person to do this. Fate tries to bluff saying this was a failure from the start. TOO BAD!

Negima Chapter 224: Incredible Strength! Fate’s Beautiful Young Warriors!

Well, what do you know? MOAR ACTION! I’m so anticipating this.

Negi’s party is already prepared for any attacks made on them if they are to consider Fate as a formidable opponent. In this case, a counterattack is in order. At this point in time, it’s where we see whose guns draw faster bullets.

Shirabe confronts Chiu, Honya and Paru, while Kotomi and Tamaki are tasked to handle Rakan. This is to ensure nobody gets to Negi during Fate’s crucial blackmail. Will Negi give in? Will he accept? Will he refuse? We’re not just talking persons or VIPs here. We’re talking WORLDS. Fate sure is playing a dirty hand this time around. But hey, he’s ALWAYS playing the dirty hand! Who gives a damn thinking about a certain point of hesitation?

MUDADA!

Paru is getting impressive by the minute as she conjures impressive drawings in mere seconds (Inferno Aniki EX is fukken manly, I tell you), but her and Honya’s powers aren’t enough to stop Shirabe as even Paru’s ultimate defense was rendered useless. She holds true that no series is without destructive music. Flesh-ripping soundwaves are good for your ears, no? At least Kotaro’s there to kick some horned, CAVED! ass… probably…

This is soooo not Rekka no Honoo…

Negima Chapter 223: Negi’s Party Vs. Fate’s Party

More negotiations this chap. But this time, we’re calling in the big guns. Of course, WE MEAN IT.

After Negi’s decline on the offer, Fate then suggests another idea: He’ll let Asuna go, but Negi must turn a blind eye on Megalomesembria. Why? Fate merely states that he’s interested in the destruction of this world, the so-called “Magical World” where all fantasies and such belong in fragile harmony of an “illusion”. Or is there even harmony? After all, Megalomesembria is merely held together by simply glued sticks and stitched threads of words, agreements, and truces. You can’t even call it a world in itself.

Then again, what would we call this pitiful little piece of Earth that we’re having?

Negi’s being weighed down by the options here. Must he turn a blind eye? Must he decline? Must he secure the students back to Japan safely first, or must he intervene the plans of the madman in front of him? Again, Rakan’s words surface, and Negi’s decision is getting critical as time passes. The others are also in panic about what Negi’s about to say. There are options, alternatives, but this time, there’re only two, and only two.

I smell CAVED!

Negima Chapter 222: Negi Vs. Fate

Woot! Consecutive post! My, am I this desperate to get this off my list!

IS THIS IT?!

As what I’ve said on the last chapter, it seems that Fate has a little something for Negi for him to appear right before him in the midst of the festival. Of course, Negi was surprised, everyone was surprised. In fact, I didn’t expect Fate to do a straightforward approach on the confrontation. More like I was expecting a sleazy, sly, and rather sneaky face-off, but this works altogether.

GARShotas going yaoi over each other. How intriguing.

Negima Chapter 221: The Beginning Of The Festival Period

So, moving on with the Negima stuff. It seems I have three chapters that I have to catch up. No matter, it will be swift anyways. That I promise you.

Yuna and Makie arrive at Ostia as the festival of peace begins. Yue and the others hsve also arrived, with unexpected circumstances (her having amnesia). But still, the aura surrounding the event itself is quite, I say, unstable. If I were to stay at a so-called “Place of Truce”, celebrating a “Peace Event” that is only in name, you would feel the pressure that comes out, especially if you’re paranoid enough to think that maybe both sides are planning some secret schemes to start an all-out session of mayhem.

Of kemonomimi, flagships… and Eva clones…

They eventually stumble upon Akira and Ako in the bar, and the Negi-Koji team continue their streak at the tournaments. All seems to be going well. So far, so good, I guess? Well, with more than half the class retrieved, that’s one shit taken care of at the very least. However, with the festival, there would be so much tension in the place. Now, I kinda felt what Rakan’s words meant, in a public way.

GARNagi, but I like GARNegi better.

Negima Chapter 220: Negima Club’s Hearts As One

Time to start my comeback for the backlog anime and manga. Guess I’ll just first take it easy with my Negima manga backlog. Easy Mode: ON

The reunion is final: 75% member GET! But still, complications may arise, and Fate is just lurking around the corner. While we’re at it, Asuna tries to get Negi to spit info on Magica Erebea, and we get the usual team play chit-chat whatchamacallthat about Negi protecting the girls and vice-versa.

Yue and her colleagues also arrive at Ostia, donning nice, Valkyrie-ish outfits(not cute, unless implied on the next chapters how it will be), while Yuna and Makie also arrive on Ostia without even the slightest idea on what to do.

The Paru-sama hideout ship is also elaborated, with its amenities and such. Well, it does look like a mobile pad to me, only that its aerial. It’s replete with bathrooms, ample spaces, a kitchen, and some other necessary shit and crap. I’d seriously like one if I can manage it alone, of it a crew is willing to do everything upon beck and call. Do I hear Jellyfish Pirates?

Oh yeah, “Johhny” there was a parody to Johnny of Guilty Gear fame. So much for the ship-and-crew-and-name elaboration. Hahaha.

But the meat of the story lies just beyond the horizon.

So Rakan finally spills out the beans (without asking for cash?! WHERE’S THE SOL-BADGUY RIPOFF IN YOU NOW, RAKAN?! INCONSISTENCY! INCONSISTENCY~!) about Asuna’s true past, and the ties that bind her to Ostia. The organization that used her, the Ala Rubra’s role, and the results of the Magic War finally resurface as Rakan bares them all. Too bad there wasn’t anything pertaining to Fate, but maybe that would go for the next chap, hopefully.

And since we don’t get this much often (and prolly since I’m too lazy to even provide a few more caps), I fixed the 2-page illustration on all the girls of the Negima Club (minus the unfound ones):

That’s the correct way the pages should be done in, so those who think it’s the over way around need to wash their eyes with muriatic acid.

Easy Mode done! Time to go back to Normal Mode. HEE HEE HEE!

Negima Chapter 219: Menace! Magica Erebea!!

Alright! Action time this chapter, and I say ACTION! Y’hear me? Yeah. Action. It’s about time we see some butt-kicking in such long eons.

MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA

So now we see how strong Magica Erebea is, considering it fuses offensive magic with the user at the price of the user’s soul. Now, the question: How does Rakan’s statement make sense? Why is Negi’s affinity so strong that it’s dangerous? What does Rakan mean that Negi “can’t hold it off”? Simple: Grave consequences. We now know Magica Erebea consumes the user’s soul in exchange of so much power. Now, if Negi’s affinity for Dark Magic is high, then there’s a high possibility of him losing his very sanity. How? From usage comes addiction. From addiction comes necessity. And from necessity comes inevitability. If Negi starts to use Magica Erebea too much, the spell will take control of him, use him, and turn him in a killing machine that obliterates anything in its path.
