Santa Reimu pics are so rare… or maybe it’s just me being lazy on finding them…

Here we are at the second part of the Christmas Present Catalog, where your gift would mean something significant in the anime and manga world! On the first part of the catalog, we listed down gifts that are good for lovers. Now we’re going to list down gifts that are too absurd or screwed, or sick for anyone to have.

Reevaluating Kuroko on Railgun 5: Robin Hood Logic

snapshot20091104142636

This is where the episode’s true KAWAII-ness lies.

This week’s Railgun is made of filler episode, Kuroko, Uiharu, slowmo pachinko balls, Kuroko, more Kuroko,  armor-piercing pachinko balls, Kuroko, oh wait, did I say Kuroko? Oh yes, I did. Another episode made of Kuroko, indeed, and it seems that elaboration about her is in order.

Railgun 4: Paradoxical Curiosity

snapshot20091027010706

No offense to Kuroko fans: Has justice finally been served?!

Served on this week’s Railgun is a can of whoop-ass, or so we think. Good points for the episode: Back on canon track, a grand cameo of Index’s Kamijo Toma, with a slight introduction to the main elements of Railgun’s Level Upper Arc. Bad points: ass-whooping served short on a disappointing 4 minute mark, scenes that defy the laws of Science, and only little progress for the story, marking it as another filler episode. I was expecting a long and detailed fight since we’re talking about GAR guy Toma here, but I guess I expected too much.

The Esper’s Garden Of Eden On Railgun 03: STRAWBERRY CROSTATA!

snapshot20091018163958

See that cake on the upper left of the picture? That, my friends, is the current apple of my eye: a Strawberry Crostata.

Pardon me for drooling a bit. I can’t resist sweets…

Back to discussing the third episode of Railgun, and judging on how the episode went as far as I was concerned, I guess it was fine as a filler episode and all. I mean, the story didn’t advance further on the main plot, the episode didn’t have hot lesbian yuri sex, and the show still remains as ambiguous as it was compared to when it started. But aside from drooling over the italian pastries, or LOLing over eyebrows, I got another hold of how Academy City works.

Kuroko on Railgun 02: I stole (Onee-sama’s Boxers) the spotlight, and the show’s better off without me?

snapshot20091013005348I don’t think there’s anyone who can understand the various amorous advances save for the fact that they’re something to be feared.

Ever since the first episode, people had their eyes on Shirai Kuroko. I’m sure most of us are pretty amazed at her performance as one of the main characters of the Railgun franchise. However, I’m not going to elaborate at her devious plans to make the Railgun her own. I’m not going to take a peek at the contents of her beauty box, either. But I do need to have a word with one of the most annoying, yet enigmatic characters of the show.

Railgun First Impressions: Science Is Trying So Hard To Be Taboo Here

To Aru Kagaku No Railgun is one of the shows that I’ve been watching out for since To Aru Majutsu No Index finished airing. Like most people say, and like what spinoffs should be, it stands out on its own with minimal references to the main story. Plus, the fanservice is soundly justified by an equal amount of action and ausumness. So far, so good, they say. I don’t expect Magi to come popping out to ruin the show, but I do expect Index protagonist Kamijo Toma to ruin a bit of the story once he gets a chance to butt in.

I will not talk about kids like animekritik here (but really, I didn’t think he’d take up this show), nor will I talk about yuri and fanservice that most of us have given interest. Instead, I will focus on the entirety of the world where the Railgun story revolves. Not Academy City, but the world of Science in general.
